SHA-256
No Grapple account is required.
Install it
Download the ZIP
The file is named Grapple-<version>-Windows-x86_64.zip.
Check the checksum
In PowerShell, run Get-FileHash .\Grapple-<version>-Windows-x86_64.zip -Algorithm SHA256 and compare the result with the SHA-256 above.
Extract the whole folder
Extract into a folder of your own, such as C:\Apps\Grapple. Keep everything together; the application needs the files beside it.

Make something small
The getting-started guide takes one clip from import to an exported MP4.
Questions
Is a release available now?
The panel above reads the official release record and only offers a download when it describes a published, versioned Windows package. Until then it says the release is being prepared.
Do I have to fill in the form?
No. Skip and download starts the same download without sending any details. Either way, the download is counted with the country and city it came from, worked out from your connection. Your IP address is not stored.
Which systems does Grapple run on?
Windows x64.
What hardware does it need?
Custom shader effects need a GPU with Vulkan support. Heavy footage plays more smoothly with proxy media, which Grapple can prepare for you.
Do I need an account?
Not for Grapple. Ape and the Create workspace use model providers you connect, and those have their own accounts and charges.
How do I update?
Extract the new version into a new folder and open your projects from there. Projects and settings are stored outside the application folder, so nothing needs to move. Keep the old folder until you are happy with the new one.
How do I uninstall it?
Delete the application folder. Your projects stay in Documents\Grapple until you remove them.
